Follow Your Heart

This card was made for Mo's Challenge #102: Furry Friends.  I have had this image for such a long time.  It feels really good to finally make some time to use some of the images I've collected.                                                                                                                                                                                    All of the papers are from my stash.  I believe I bought them all at JoAnn's.  The square with the scalloped border is a Nestabilities die.  I'm not quite sure where I got the sentiment.  The image is colored with Copics and I edged the picture with Stampin' Up pastels.

It took me the longest time to get this anchor done.  I had pretty much forgotten how to use Make the Cut with my Cricut.  I found the free svg online, but couldn't figure out how to make it cut.  Finally, after much persistence, I got it done.  I was just hitting the wrong button. Only took an hour and a half to figure that out.  Think I'll remember next time?  Probably not!

Rockin' Baby

My Time to Craft's challenge this week is "Musical Medley."  The image I used is by Mo Manning.  It's the second time I've used it.  I much prefer the coloring of the guitar the first time around.  That was a sunburst design of red fading to orange then yellow (1/31/11).  I had modeled that after my husband's new guitar at the time.  (Seems there is always a new guitar.) My husband suggested this color combo, but I'm not real fond of it.

I colored this with Copics and the swirls were made with a Magnolia die.I added Crystal effects to the pick guard.

Visitor on our Patio

I didn't realize snakes could climb.  My husband went out walking this morning.  When he got back home this little guy had climbed up on the table on our patio.  Not a welcome visitor in my opinion.  Although living in Arizona there are snakes all over the place.  At least it's not a rattlesnake!

Just For Fun

Tonight was a fun night.  I got to just play.  I worked on learning to make flowers. Lots more work needed, but it's a start.

The image is Nevaeh by Krista Smith.  I found her work on Etsy while browsing one day,  She has lots of cute images.  I just love the eyes.

I painted the flowers with Glamour Dust to give them a nice sparkle.  The swirly die is by Magnolia..  The papers are Fairy Flora by Prima.  I have used this paper so often lately I ordered two more packs.  Fortunately, it's very reasonably priced.  I found a new combo for blond hair so I thought I'd try it out.  I like it.  I probably should have added a little more of the darkest shade, though.

Snow Much Fun

This is my final post as a Design Team member for Jellypark Friends Friday Challenge.  I have decided to step down to make life a little less hectic.  It was wonderful to be part of the start of a new challenge blog.  I will miss working with Claire, Jennifer and all the wonderful design team members.

This week's challenge is to use a palette from  Design Seeds.  I chose "Winter (bloom)."  The image is a new release from Jellypark.

I colored her with Copics and added some Stickles to the snowflakes.

Playing in the Leaves

This image is from Mo's Digital Pencil.  I am entering this in Mo's Challenge #101: Autumn Colors.

I tried to cut outside the die.  I usually have good results.  Not this time.  Hence the bow!  Usually when I cut outside the die it's only on one side.  This time there were leaves all around that I tried to cut.  Didn't work!  I colored her with Copics.

Be Brave, Be Strong

This is my DT entry for My Time to Craft Challenge #158, "L" is for...  I chose this lion from Digi Doodle Shop.  I have always loved this image and was just waiting for something to use it for. The sentiment is from TLC Creations; I like it with this image.

This was one of those interesting coloring sessions.  I colored his mane first and added way too many reddish tones.  I went over it with the Copic O hoping to eliminate them.  I got rid of some, then I colored over them with a more brownish color.  Ah, live and learn.  I should have printed off another one, but I was in a hurry trying to get it finished on time.   I now have a very orangish maned lion.
The paper is from Graphic 45.  I used Copics to color the image.  The brad is from Stampin' Up.

Mummy Bear

Is he not one of the cutest little bears?  He's a digi from Di's Digis.  She has lots of really fun digis.  Their first challenge blog just started last week and there's still time to enter their very first challenge, Anything Goes.   I colored this with Copics.  The fabulous swirly die is from Magnolia.  I have no idea who the paper is from.

Autumn Blessings

This card is for Digi Doodle Shop's Challenge:  Autumn colors.  The image is available on their website and is called "Corn Stack."  I really enjoyed coloring this one.  This image was colored with Copic markers.  I edged the picture with chalks.  I have much better luck with them than I do with inks.   The papers are from K & Company, I believe.

Fall Pheasant

I made this card for Digi Doodle Shop's Challenge:  Autumn colors.  The image is "Fall Pheasant."  This is colored with Copics and the paper is from K & Company.  I usually don't do two cards for a challenge, but my first card was so much like someone else's card I decided to do a second.  I need to check and see what's posted before I do my card in the future.

Celebrate II

This is the second time I used this image from Mo's Digital Pencil.  I'm entering it in the Mo's Challenge #100:  Celebration.  I am so enjoying entering Mo's challenges once again.  I haven't been able to for a long while.  I really like my coloring better this time, but I don't care for the card itself all that much.  Once you glue down flowers it;s pretty much staying that way.  I really like the background paper I chose last time better.  I think that one was January of 2011.

The paper is from my stash.  Actually, my daughter's stash which I inherited when she moved away to college.  Thank you much, Dr. Brown!  The corner punch is from Martha Stewart.  The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Kaleidoscope of Color

This card was made for My Time to Craft's Challenge:  Kaleidoscope of Color.  I've had this image for quite a while, but have only used her once so far.  She is Daddy's Girl from Tiddly Inks.  The papers are from Basic Grey's Sweet Thread Collection.  I used Liquid Pearls for an accent.  The sentiment is from Stampin' Up.

I colored this with Copic markers.  I tried to use lots of bright colors.

Copics: B21, B23, C0, C1, C3, C5, C7, E000, E00, E11, E08, E09, G9, R21, R22, R24, R27, Y00, Y02, YG06, YG07, YR07, YR09

Look What My Wonderful Hubby Built For Me!!!

My husband built me this Copic marker storage box.  It will hold 288 markers.  There are three clear marker storage boxes inside.  I just ordered a fourth.  That way I have room to expand if I want.  It's going to make it so easy to see all the marker numbers now.   He offered to stain it.  I'm debating if I want it stained or not.  The box is designed to use two ways.  the markers can be displayed at a 60 degree (shown) or a 30 degree angle depending how you position the box.   Now all I need to do is get some alcohol and clean my markers.  I tend to be a tad messy with them.  He definitely earned some points with this!!!

Moving Day

I am entering this card in Mo's Challenge #98:  Boy Attitude.  I thought this would be ideal for a "Congratulations on Your Move" card.  Don't you just wish moving was this easy!  My nephew and his wife recently purchased their first home so I will send this with a Home Depot gift card inside.

The image is from Mo's Digital Pencil.  The paper has been in my stash forever.  I colored him with Copics.  I just couldn't decide what embellishments to use so I decided to leave it alone.

Birthday Rocket

The challenge this week at Jellypark Friend's Friday Challenges is Pass It On.   Make a card that is to be given to someone and then give it.

The adorable image is a new release by Claire.  I think it is just adorable.  I had just ordered this great paper pack from October Afternoon when the image came out.  They are ideal together.

I colored the image wirh copics.

Purple Iris

This lovely image is from Digi Doodle Shop.  I colored it with Copics.  The papers are from Fairy Flora.  I need to buy another paper pad before I run out.  The swirly die is a new one from Magnolia.  It was really hard to find in stock anywhere, but I was very persistent!  The ribbon is self sticking and came from my daughter's stash.  It's the first time I've used it, but I really like it.  I don't imagine it would be good for a bow since it has adhesive on the back.  The sentiment is from Stampin' Up.  I used it for a very lazy reason.  It was still laying on my craft table when I finished my last card.  It was easier to use it rather than go get another one.  I do like it on this card, though.    I decided to go with another easel card.  I really enjoy this style.                                                                                                                                                                                      I am entering this in the following challenges:                                         Sparkle Forum Challenges Punch It                                                               One stitch at a Time Use a Digi                                                                        Hooked On Crafts Spring has Sprung

Wish Big

I made this card for Bronte & Bella's Challenge Blog.  Challenge #98 is a sketch challenge.  I haven't entered a Mo's challenge in quite a long time.  Cutting back on my design teams should allow me to get back to having the time to enter challenges that I have been missing.  Mo is definitely one of my favorite artists.  When I saw this sketch challenge I just couldn't resist.  This image is called "Big Shoes" and was just released in July.

I colored this with Copics.   The papers are from October Afternoon, one of my favorite companies.  The beautiful seam binding is from Stampin' Up.

It's amazing that for such a tiny picture I used so many colors.

Copics:  B02, C0, C1, E00, E02, E09, E11, E31, R07, R11, R20, R22, R32, R89, Y17, Y23, YG03, YR04, YR14, YR18, YR20, YR31
