Freedom is not Free

This was done for Isabella's Challenge #9, "Patriotic Colors" and Stamp Simply #141 Flying High and Proud Color Challenge. I felt very strongly about making it a tribute to our fallen soldiers. Technically, this was another difficult one for me. Pencils are very difficut to blend in large areas. Maybe, I should have tried water colors. Hopefully, Santa will bring me some really good markers! Thanks to Isabella's Challenge I won the images for this one.

Celebrate You!

I had a difficult time with this challenge. I guess I was just not in a birthday mood. This was for Isabella's Sketchbook Challenge #8

Katie's Graduation Card

I made this card for my daughter's graduation. The image is from Sassy Cheryl's. I actually colored the image four times before I felt like I had one good enough to put on a card. I used Stampin' Up Watercolor Crayons.

I got a Cricut for Mother's Day!

Thanks to Sandy, Katie and Gabriel! I love it. I am definitely going to enjoy the added dimension to my card making. Fun, fun, fun!

Baby shower card for Heidi

I cased this card. The origiinal is at: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/1692788?cat=fav

I changed the saying a little bit and went with polka dot ribbon instead of gingham. I would have loved the gingham, but couldn't find it in the right width.

Retirement Card

Our former school nurse, Connie, is retiring after many years of service. I made this card for her and added extra pages inside so everyone would have room to sign.

Katie's Runner

This is a runner that I painted for my daughter's wedding. It was about 45' long. I had seen a similar one on the internet and just had to have it. It cost way too much, though. It was several hundred dollars and I didn't have that much room in my budget. I ordered custom stencils off the internet and bought a bolt of fabric from JoAnn's. For slightly more than one hundred dollars I had a beautiful custom runner. (A hundred dollars and many, many nights of painting) It was well worth it!

Card for Mom

I made this for my mother-in-law for Mother's Day. I was pretty pleased with how the shading came out. I used Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol. It's amazing what you can learn to do on the internet. Hope Mom likes it!

Snow Girl

This is the first post I'm trying. It's going to take me a while to figure this thing out. This image is from Sassy Cheryl's and the frame is from Taylored Expressions. I really like the idea of being able to have artwork in my office in a very easy to change format. I painted her with Stampin' Up watercolor crayons. I was hoping that the shading would have turned out a bit more obvious. I added buttons from my grandmother's button collection. I just love old buttons. I try to use them whenever possible.

Almost done with March cards!

I used an image from Mo's Digital Pencil.  She is colored with Copics, pencils and pastels.  This is the third time I attempted colori...
